I was driving past the Morgan Motor works today as I often do and out of the corner of my eye I spotted a car and thought "WTF is THAT" :!: :!: :!:
I turned around and went into the factory to look at the car that attracted my attention.

It's a Morgan Aero Max and the car is a one-off special which Morgan may put into production if there is sufficient positive interest. I was kindly allowed to take some photos of the car. It has a BMW 4.2L engine as per the Aero8.

What do you think of it :?: It certainly is a head-turner and has a fair spec to match.

There is nothing on the Morgan website about this car so I'm glad I had my digital camera with me 8)

You need to put the URL of the actual image itself between the [IMG] tags. So for the second one, instead of the link to the page which the big image is on, you need to right click on the image itself and copy its location (http://www.z3mcoupe.com/photopost/data//500/533:4_front.jpg).

Looks cool - always liked the Aero8 - if only I had a few more £££

EDIT: Just seen the back  Not so sure now. I think I'll stick to a regular bog eyed Aero8

Not a dream Shraz, there was an article on it in either EVO or Autocar, as you said the design was done by a design student, I think he was only 22 too.

Rob, Thanks for the tip!. I'm a Mac user so the "right-click isn't an option, but once I'd seen your http info to my link I managed to trace it and work it out.

I watched Mr Charles Morgan get into the Aero Max, and it was one very awkward task, with the wide running boards, the leather interior trim that he had to avoid scuffing with his shoes and the low seating position. I think you'd need automatic gate-openers and garage doors if you had one.

The design isn't really that original and it draws on the Chrysler Atlantic concept of some 2O years ago and the Jaguar XK120 Coupe of some 40 odd years ago and the Jowett Javelin of some 50 odd years ago.

You can just imagine Cruella DeVille stepping out of this car can't you

Exdos,
Great pictures. I agree with you, this is a fantastic car. It was at Goodwood Festival of Speed in the "Supercar" Paddock. It's great in real-life.
It was a 24 year old design student who developed it for a client, and I believe will go into production as Morgan's last "hurrah" before trying to attack the US market where all the controls/restrictions would make such a car impossible to entertain.
I'd definitely have one, especially since they calmed down on the boss-eyed front lights...

I think it is stunning and a tribute to Morgan that they are still prepared to invest in creating such a unique vehicle.

It's quite a performer too.

don't like the Morgans, sorry, I just don't

This looks a bit like a Mini/Bugatti/Batmobile thingy.

The rear I like, are those the rearlights of a Lancia Thesis :?

Great colour, bold design, pity? about the Morris Minor no. plate lamp, or, maybe that was intentional??I would not buy this car,but I do admire The Morgan Motor Car Co. for their adventure and retro innovation?
