Just took receipt of a shiny new Whalen gear knob that was a topic of some previous threads.... it's a heavy son of a b****.... but should look cool.

Lee, I know you have one. What's the easiest way to fit it?

Rob

very easy, just pull your existing knob

try not to give yourself a black eye when it pops off

abd then put the new one on lift the WSM sleeve and it will click into place.

Can't recommend this highly enough. Doug is also a top bloke to deal with. He'll engrave anything you want.

Cheers Lee. I'll do it today. If I can figure out how I'll take some pics and post them.

When is your car back from the paint shop, I'll pop over and have a look when it's all done.

Ordered a new Whalen shiny knob on the back of recommendation by Lee.

Arrived yesterday, looks great, I just can't seem to get it to lock on to the shaft?

Pull the collar up, slide it down with the collar retracted but it still shifts in my hand when I lightly pull it.

Grateful for advice, when locked on, can you pull it off?

innuendo after innuendo

Pull the collar up as far as it will go, insert the shaft as far as it will go into the ball before releasing the collar. once on you cannot pull it off, no matter how hard you tug at it. you'll find once your knob is in place though you can't stop rubbing it. :P

I must be doing something wrong.

Sound words, almost a Metaphor for life from sage Shunt......
