Reading deleted SMS text messages on mobiles/SIM cards

Totally off topic for this forum but something id like to know !!

I know you can read deleted SMS's off a SIM card but I dont know how to do it..........does anyone here have instructions ?! (im using a Nokia if that makes any difference ??)

Actually she reckons she knows how to do it but wont tell me so I cant cover my tracks if I ever got itchy feet myself !! Not sure if she is calling my bluff or not but need to get back, cant have her ahead of me on technology !!

I know how to retrieve deleted data from an SD or MMC card but not a sim card.

Someone might just come along with an answer
