Have been looking at a 36000 mile Z3M AC Schintzer version. Any thoughts on the merits of this type over standard Z3M

Estoril Blue with black and grey leather

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Its an original AC Schnitzer car - out of the box version . So upgraded suspension etc. not just stickers!

Rare beast I think

As far as I am aware there were only 2 of these. One was the development car and the other built for a customer. Both left hand drive.

Mmmmm - I have been told that it was bought new as a ACS car , not a standard Z3M then tweaked

Thanks

I remember looking into this as the previous owner of my car was under the false impression his was an ACS car. From what I remember if it is an ACS car it should have ACS brakes front and rear, Front flippers, Roof Spoiler and special bucket seats.

if its an ACS car, does it look like this? otherwise its not a real one, all ACS cars from them would be LHD as they are german!!!!!!

in a word, NO!

for that money you can get a good coupe not rag top!
i had one and they are rubbish, and an extra £3-4k for a lot of badges!
its got an exhaust, wheels, and short shift, and lots and lots of badges!

Thanks for that info

Will keep my money tucked up

There is a 8750 mile car for sale at £17995 so may switch to that

Although never too sure about low milers - cars are meant to be used . Standing cars is not the best idea

And thats been for sale for a long time!!! putting schnitzer bits on a car doesnt make it an AC Schnitzer car! looks nice though, but over priced IMHO.

If you want more info on the roofless versions of the beautys found here, i suggest a perusal of http://www.zroadster.net/forum

you will get a bit more info on the soft top version, the guys here don't like the wind in their hair! ;-)

BMW South Africa sold a batch of limited edition AC Schnitzer M Coupe's. They came standard with 18"s, coil-over kit and the S54 engine with some mods to the catalytic converter which raised power above the standard car. I don't know much else about them, but a mate of mine had one and rated it highly over the 2 standard one's he'd had previously. I guess if it was one of these, it would be RHD but have a KPH speedo.

Those were sweet cars. I wish I could track one down. I see an Imola Red one every once in a while in Cape Town. There aren't many of them around. Have been led to believe that the number is below 20.
