Hi all,

MC's rear brakes need a service/overhaul, but I've ran into a small problem:

The main centre retention nut is a splined unit (not a normal six-sided nut) -- do i need a special bmw tool ??? (also, what is the tightening torque?)

Any advice much appreciated :)

No need to bother the driveshaft nut for a brake overhaul.

Thanks M3 compact - i've just consulted my friend's BMW TIS; the rear brake discs are held in place by the wheel nuts + retention screw, not the main hub nut as i first thought (unlike like my old Caterham race car, but ahem, obviously this is not a Caterham!)
