Has anyone ever had an S50 engine fail and be completely replaced under warranty? Just wondering if it did happen do they have a stock of s50's in storage or would they put in an s54?

think they still have S50's in stock!
all german car makers are made to make enough parts to last 10 years after production stops

They would never contemplate fitting an S54 engine into an S50 car, there would be too many differences, the main thing being the loom and drive by wire. Even if they ran out they would most likely source a rebuilt one from a 3rd party.
