Why is the definition of 'good condition' so different between people.
I mean, cars like Mcoupes are more likely to be owned and kept well by enthusiasts as its that kind of car.
I have seen a few Mcoupes all described as in good condition with immaculate paint and interiors..........
.......But when you have wasted your journey going to have a look at them, you realise that they are far from what the seller described them as.........How can two people have such differing opinions of what is a good condition car....
One great example of this yesterday:
On the phone to a dealer...
Me: ‘So, the car looks good from the photos, but are there any major marks on the car as I am a fussy git and don’t want to waste yours and my time if its got stone chips galore and scratched to buggery etc'
Seller ‘ No mate, its mint, not a mark on it. One of the best examples I have seen’.
Me ‘oh great, I will come and look at it then’
I get there and the car looks ok from 50 metres away…..
But as I approach it, something isn’t quite right……
.......hmmmm, took a few seconds to work it out.
.....Oh yeah, its because the bonnet and front bumper are Titanium Silver and the rest of the car is Artic Silver…..whoever did the front end spray made a massive error!! Idiots.
The whole car was covered with supermarket dents and I pointed this out and the guy said ‘wat do you expect for a 1999 car?’
So I pointed out to him that he said there were no marks on the car and that it was mint.
Timewasting sellers.
