For those who have never been to a secure track day, with particular First timers in mind--this is your chance.Drivers are graded into groups with first timers given instruction on track behind lead cars, and in car help if required.Your group is kept separate from other groups so no racers are up your boot.

www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk click events / silverstone for all info.you can download entry form and send off to Brian Bradley. For Non Club members you can pay £10 for a day membership to comply with club Insurance. If you wish to join the club your day voucher value will be credited to the £35 annual membership fee.

As you can see on the site, lots of other driving activities including paylaps in the M5 driven by Sabine from the Nordschleife, some Ex racing M3,s and CSL.s.Its a very good day out, and the driving standards are controlled, so no cowboys.

You might even make the comics, as per last years day.Any questions-just ask.

zzzemmco,
I am up at Prodrive on Monday and that is my last track outing until next year. Warranty expires in December and I can then start to get my list of mods put into place.

However, I did Silverstone last year and it was a great day out. From memory there were 4/5 M Coupes. A rare event when the GP circuit is used. Very well run, lots of runoffs, hardly a hooligan in sight. One of the few times I enjoyed being passed (by Sabine in the M5 frightening people to death). She apparently did both sets of tyres in on the two cars she was using and they had to rush the first one off to get it reshod mid afternoon  .

For anybody dithering about going, DON'T, get booked up before it is sold out.
