Hi all,

Dont suppose anyone was at the Roger Waters gig in Hyde Park on Saturday. If your a floyd fan and you didnt go you missed a real treat. All the floyd classics and the "dark side of the moon" album played live in its entirity. Absolutley superb. Roger was joined on Stage by Nick Mason (drummer, P.Floyd) for the darkside part. It was certainly worth missing the England match travelling down.

Tried to get tickets for the Dave Gilmour concert earlier this year but tickets sold out within 30 mins and then for sale on e-bay for £250+ per pair. (£40 face value). This sort of thing makes me mad. Spoiling it for the real fans

regards

David

I went to a Roger Waters gig in Manchester, I think it was about 1999 or 2000 and was bitterly dissapointed. I think you hit the nail on the head with All the floyd classics and the "dark side of the moon" album played live in its entirity". Now I'm sure old Rog decided to do a lot of Floyd stuff to widen the appeal and increase numbers but I went to go see Roger Waters, NOT PINK FLOYD!

What he should have done is played "Amused to Death" in it's entirety or "The Pros and Cons of Hitchiking". These along with Radio Kaos were the Roger Waters albums ogf the time and this is what I wanted to hear, not a load of old Pink Floyd tracks which, although brilliant, were lacking the visual impact of the "Pulse" Floyd gig I went to in Paris a few years before.

Also, I found it a bit hypocritical the Rog played the classic Floyd track "Comfortably Numb" when I saw him live. He didn't even want the track on The Wall album at the time and wanted it binned. Thank god they ignored him.

Nice try Rog, but have the confidence to play your own stuff and you might tempt me to another gig. Shame really as I think he is one of my all time greatest artists. Oh and by the way if you haven't got Amused to Death or Pro's and Con's in your collection, you really are missing out.
