I remember seeing a post about HR Owen in Chiswick doing a service inspection 2 for £480 All-in less 10% (4plus scheme) reducing it to £432. I jotted the details down on a post it but didn't take note of who had written it. Thin gis I phoned them up and they've quoted me ovr 1100 quid. However they said if I can provide the details of who had it done (just reg plate number) they will match the price!!!!!!
So who was it? Can anyone else remember? There's definitely a beer or two in it for someone.
It's so didfficult now that all the history of posts has gone.
Cheers chaps,

Guilty as charged,
HR Owen Chiswick sent me a promotional postcard through offering:
Oil service £129
Inspection 1 £229
Inspection 2 £299
'Available for all models over 4 years old and excluding V8 and M models'.
The mailshot was obviously a mistake as they know what car I have. However, never one to miss a chance to get one over on our corporate friends, I phoned up and, after quoting the above figures, asked for commensurate quotes for an M Coupe. '£140, £380, £480'.
I thought that I was due for Inspection 2 in the next 2 months so tried to book it in; they came back and corrected me to Oil Service (my stupid mistake). They were obviously not happy as they gave me a lecture (about their mistake!) when I went to collect the car. However, I held them to £140.26p.
So, in conclusion, only have an Oil Service receipt/quote in writing - account no c8302 - document no 83522658.
So if anyone wishes to go down the same route for an oil service and they say they will match any receipt then feel free to quote the above.
Sorry I can't help further dasherdiablo1 but in due course I will be due for Inspection 2. I've been subconsciously thinking about this and will post any 'result' I wangle in due course cos I AIN'T PAYING £1,100 :!: :!: :!:
And then there is my EW expiry coupled with the EW MOT Cover towards the end of the year. Lots of fun still to be had.

dasherdiablo1, you have an email.
I distantly recall someone posting a Sytner City quote at £5-600.

I think they did Inspection 2 in Warwick BMW for about £675. I had my inspection 2 at Williams BMW Bolton for 775 mark with courtesy car. They seem to have done a good job and were friendly/ efficient.

Does anyone know of a cheap place within the London area?
I'm getting silly quotes around the 1100 mark. Cheapest I've had is £800! There must be somewhere that's cheaper than that.....What with the warranty going up I don't want to give the Stealers any more than I absolutely have to.
This is it, you may as well pay an Indy 1500 to do you Vanos if youre going to pay a stealer 1100 for an ins 2

dasherdiablo1,
What did Sytner City quote you?
why don't you pop down to Surrey and try Vines of Redhill or Cooper Thames Ditton who looked after my car in its early days until about 30kmiles........

Definitely not the cheapest, although not bad service.

Coupe fan; They quoted me £850! It amazes me as to how wide a price range it is. Surely BMW uk should be able to monitor it???
Broccers; If you have a copy available that would be brilliant. Alternatively I think just your number plate and the rough date you had it serviced would be good enough for them to price match! Can you email/PM me the details

In the end I got it done at BMW Chiswick and it was about £660. A very good service indeed.....they said they would also price match in the future so mention this when you book your car in!
