Car went into the stealers today to see if they could fix a tick over / stalling issue with my S54 M coupe.
Car was looked at last week as the motor refused to keep running on running down to tickover comming into junctions or coasting ... Barons had looked at it and found no fault.
The tech who looked at it first time at Sytners seems to have got it spot on ... Took off the cable to the air flow meter, and problem was less but still there, ordered a new air flow meter and fitted today. Let me go through the fault codes, reset them and then ran through it all again. He really knew his stuff on the car (engine wise anyway!)
Car is now perfect, cleaned (inside and out !) and back on form ! All covered under used car warrenty. Spot on polite, helpful dealers ... :shock:
Only issue is the place is small and cars all over the place, so check your car when you pick it up, an X5 had been dented while there this morning and the guy was being shown the issue by the service department. No issue over fault and they were going to put it right. So seem Honest ... was I really seeing this from a dealer ... :?
