  • Replacing one tyre - on the front.

I have to replace a front tyre due to a puncture.

I guess this really depends upon the remaining tread on the other tyre.....

But should I replace them as pair.

I have Goodyear eagle f1's and they have about 5-6mil remaining, ie. still bloody chunky!

    I await your views

    Rags,
There was loads of tread left on the one you got at Gaydon,
If you have quite a bit of tread left on the good one then just get the replacement for the punctured one, make sure you get the same tyre make as the good one otherwise you could cause problems with the handling.
Could you not get the puncture repaired.

    Steve.

      Hi steve,

Nice to meet you on sunday.

Well, actually, we had issues with that wheel as the combo of its width and the tyre size meant it didnt clear the strut.

So, we used the tyre weld.

The puncture was from an old repair and it had leaked again.

Yeah, going to get another Goodyear GSD3........

In terms of front tyre tread, its got loadsa meat!
