Can I submit a heartfelt plea?I REALLY enjoy the good natured, humorous banter that flies around this particular forum on all sorts of related subjects, however, I cannot abide the foul and extremely inappropriate language and worse! This is compounded by inaccurate spelling elsewhere in the "article" Surprisingly, the spelling of foul language is always perfect! So,pack it in, you know who you are, and we can all get back to the main reason for this forum, the cars! and dump the SH==E!

Agreed, but in the last line of your 'plea', you have contradicted yourself  .

I rest my case on one of the above replies, tongue in cheek I trust? and Rags, you should note the incomplete last word, it does appear in it's entirety elsewhere, which originally moved me to write in complaint. This is not the time/place etc. for the foul stuff! surely?

Good grief - I might entitle this forum 'Moaners corner'
If you see things you don't like, are offended by, please tell a moderator by pm or use the report abuse thread. Believe it or not I don't read every single post on here (does anyone ?)

Yes, it was a joke as I assumed that the original post was also tongue in cheek due to the use of 'SH==E" at the end. As it wasn't I shall make a couple of points:-
1. By censoring some letters of the word 'shite' (oh my god! He used the word!) it doesn't make your statement less crude or offensive. You are still using a swear word, and everyone here will read your post as such. If you wanted to make your point you could have used the word 'drivel' or 'gibberish' and it would have been just as effective.
2. If you don't like bad language, then skip the posts that offend. Personally I don't like references to God but I am not going to try and impose my views on the matter on others in the forum. Other poeple will view the words 'Hell' and 'Damn' as swearing and will be offended by them. At the end of the day it is in internet forum where people will speak their minds and trying to impose your values on others just isn't going to work.
There is a time and a place for swearing. Some of the words are fantastically colourful and can get the point you are trying make across perfectly. I agree that such strong language maybe should be used in moderation, but if you don't like them at all maybe some sort of filter for your web browsing is in order.
That summary above made me chuckle

I agree; I recently came across a very good example of poor prose/sentence construction and grammar
