May be able to ... what you need off of it, not the collection of naughty pictures ... of my old coupe !
You may get lucky if I can slave your drive to a desktop and copy the data off ...
Let me know PM me and we can sort something out ..

Not being a lap top expert (just a numpty user ), can the HDD be re-built into a new lappy?
or did the tea do a lot of damage ... :D
Kiddle has said the best thing to do is get an external hard drive casing and import the data that way!
its worse cause they are Mac's!

It all depends on how many teaspoons of sugar you take in your tea! 1 teaspoon is fixable, any more than 6 and it is a new laptop I would suggest............!

My portable Harddisk stopped working last X-mas, All my pictures etc.. ttl 100GB
This company helped me out, not cheap (£250.00), they managed 95% data recovery

Ben,
I did a similar thing except I spilt a mug of chunky soup over my Mac (titanium powerbook). Cleaned all the gunk from it, but it wouldn't work. Came back a few days later and hey presto. Only trouble was that some of the keys didn't work because lots of crusty crudd had formed underneath. Took the keypad off, bit of a clean and good as new
Since got a newer powerbook and the key pad does not come off.
it does come off but its a hell of a job!!

Ben,
I would stick with the laptop and buy a monitor and keyboard. That way you still have a portable.
yeah i will keep the laptop and use the imac for storing etc.!
the new macbook pro's are a bit pricey
