Right,
Even though the car is up for sale, she needs to have the inspection II done (well okay one green left but oil is cheaper than spare parts) ... almost !
Booked in today with a guy called Mike, really good on the phone ...
Asked for inspection II, he then said you get the 4 plus so gets a point for being good.
I want the braided hose changed for the clutch as this seems a sensible update for not a lot, yes selling the car, but will be peace of mind for me and next owner. Only issue is I have to give them the part number to order as s it wont fit they can't send it back and will charge me. ok but took some time to find it ..
Have a rock and roll drivers seat (well is moves a couple of mm) said about this over the phone, no problem is the reply we see this a lot will order parts. So gets a second point on the plus scale.
Passenger Seat: Seems to be showing some of the springs up to the facing of the leather on the seat, answer no worries we can look at that and if you need a seat we can get that sorted.
Asked for a full KDS check on the car, again peace of mind as after 5 years it must need to be checked ?? £210 Plus Vat .. ok an expensive option but as he pointed out anything found should be covered.
Brakes: Discs and Pads to be done ... prices to follow .. going the OEM route as the car is still covered for 6 mths and the new owner would then have no issues after that it will be down to owners choice.
CD changer is jammed (got my learn russian in it ) no worries we can look at that.
Have a Mini cooper for 4 days while they do the work in a couple of weeks. No issue Mike went through all the cars they could offer me and the dates when I could have them ... really nice of them.
So okay going to pay dealer prices for service, KDS and brakes plus clutch stuff, but bloody impressed so far.
This is going to be at their new service place in South Ascot, which is brand new the week she goes in ...
That was my only comment last time as the service place is tiny at the current place.
Just wanted to share a good word on BMW for a change ... we will see how the work turns out and if I am this happy in a few weeks ....
