Silverstone is awesome and these cars will really do well there in my opinion.
Let's wait for the weather to get a little drier first.
Ben - keys please.
Sal
Silverstone is doing it for me!
there is one on the 20th on the full GP circuit for £195

Bedford has huge run off areas but after Donnington you find it a little boring. It is totally flat.
It's a great place to really understand the limits of your car. Not far either.
£150 is cheap but as we al discussed the crowd there may be a little.....err.......chav?
Rags, is that open pit or sessioned?

Ben, might be a little boring but possibly good day for complete beginners to learn. Follow the link for full descriptions. Chris the BMW performance day is full, I've put my name on the reserve list :?

I hate Brands Hatch, I refuse to go on it.
I got so bored going round it (the short circuit) and decided to stop after just 2 sessions.
Silverstone any day, I find that very challenging.
Oulton park is simply phenominal and the ZM's would do very very well there. If you thought Donnington was fun then Oulton is 10X more exciting.
It is very very far though! I had to book a hotel one night before - only cost £40 a night.

Silverstone has a vote for me - can combine it with a visit to my sister's.
Silverstone seems to be the winner so far,
the next date is the 20th and like i said its the full GP circuit!
So we have.....??

To promote their trackdays for enthusiasts, combe are offering clubs and groups reduced entry and in some cases Free entry. www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk . Worth getting a group together for the various dates for south west + drivers.

Depends where you live though!!! ;)
Agree with you there, I've only done a half day at Brands (Indy) in my 205 about 5 years ago and didn't rate it that highly. Cadwell and Oulton are THE best UK circuits IMO, but Cadwell or Oulton in the damp/winter with RWD =

One quick thing ill point out yes Oulton is a great circuit. Long or short version not as quick as Donny though. You feel the speed more because the circuit is tight and very narrow. But at this time of year and even in the summer if you lot had made the mistakes you made at Donny but at any point at Oulton your cars would have been for the bin. Not only that you’d probably hurt yourself badly as well. Id say certainly experience the track but wait till summer. Brands GP circuit beats Oulton hands down even now when they’ve taken Dingel Dell out.
Bedford GP lay out would be very good for you lot as well. Featureless but has all types of corners great run off and not very far for most well organized as well.

I was at Oulton Park in summer and had loads of grip. However, when out on that circuit you know how bad it would be if it was wet.
Even in summer there were a few heroes flying off the circuit into the gravel and beyond.
Silverstone - I wonder what kind of speed we can get upto down the big straight?? It's a little down hill aswell.

It's a no brainer for me. Brands Hatch Indy will do your (OEM) brakes in halfway through each session. GP Circuit brilliant but nothing coming up there for ages and if you make any mistake on the GP section then THE ANIMAL's comments about Oulton apply again.
Silverstone GP brilliant and heaps of runoff. Have never been to Bedford but good reports of the GP (full) layout. Am on for either or both but would prefer Silverstone on 20th January.

Was at Brands yesterday with bexley motorworks. There were a few ZM Roadsters there.
E30 M3's dominated the day....again.
I refused to drive on there even though I was offered a car.
The ZM's long gearing should be very useful on the long straights there.
Any plans for this side of christmas?

Yeah Caribbean for me on a really slow ship thing 8-)

personally for me this side of xmas is too soon, but i have seen something at bedford in Feb for £160 and the all the other costs seem good value, it even says about instruction!
ill get the rest of the details and post up!

I was there, E30 M3s were like Jack Russells nipping at the heels, lost most of them on the straights.
I managed an unofficial time of 1 min 05 sec at 125mph through the start/finish in the S54
