Calling on North West MC Owners

All the fun on 'mini-meets' seem to happen down South. Now that we have got a few owners in the North West I suggest we have our own mini meet preferably in May or June.

I am open to ideas and suggestions but here's a few
1. Rolling road session then for a quick blast somewhere.
2. Drive down mid Wales and back
3. Meet somewhere and just chill out

sounds good, sat 28 apr no good for me. would love to see a gallardo my dream car. would love to go to scotland and do the applegate run but doubt it is possible in a day. i do fancy a rolling road first if possible though.

AS I am in minority and not even in a Z3M I am happy with either only thing is mate and I will be going to north wales and staying around Betws Y Coed area on Saturday night for beer n pool etc, not sure any of you were planning an overnighter? either way if you not we could meet up for the day if you are in the area

You will get to see the car very close but as it isnt my Z3M I wont be driving it to hard, especially if its the F430 the 360 a handfull cant imagine what the 430 will be like!

Ok guys it looks like Sunday the 13th of May. The advantage of a Sunday is that, there is less traffic to deal with.

Throwing a spanner into the works, should this date be provisional subject to what the weather will be doing? Lets say we look at the the weather forecast on the 8th and confirm it then????? If weather is crap then we move it to the 20th. Call me a chicken but dont fancy a spirited drive in Wales when its pissing down!

For those wanting to do a rolling road we can organise that in June if we get enough takers.

Hey Greenbat, been piling on the miles locally and around North West. Managed to get 292miles on one tank from one journey (using the 'slipstream' advice given by another member, the MC being stuck up the a** of one articulating lorry on motorways). Shall be good to meet you and the others.

Pah! I got over 300 once with a 1/3 left, with help from cruise control set at a very steady pace :mrgreen: worked out to be 36mpg so there is a theoretical near 400miles in there somewhere :-o

Blackzm, it that 292 mile till just before the fuel light comes on? I reckon there is another 30 miles before the coughing to a halt. Downside to slipstreaming I think will be the risk on not seeing ahead plus potential missiles from the vehicle in front. Anyway you have to pass the advice on.

Forecast is a bit iffy for the rest of the week, and as the Gallardo won't be there on the 13th is it worth moving it to the 20th??

The current weather forecast only displays to Saturday and its raining every single day. We will know Sundays forecast tonight. If its raining which at the moment appears very likely then we will postpone it to the 20th.

Blackzm cannot make the 13th so maybe be a good thing to postpone it.

Rite I am just awaiting news this week for the 20th, they should have delivered this week a brand new Gallardo Spyder, in Gun Metal Grey with bright orange interior or a bright orange exterior with grey interior!! I have ordered the former, if it doesnt show in time I will still come but with my Dakar Z3M Coup!!

Anyone got access to long range forecasts for the weekend?

I have managed to Secure the Gallardo (depending on weather) but its not the one with bright orange interior :0( It will be steel Grey, black interior and I think Steel grey alloys and it has a Lambo sports exhaust as an option ;0))))))))

Just an idea but outside of betws still on main A5 the next village past Swallow Falls is Capel Curig and as the round bends round the left sharply there is a big white bar/hotel/restaurant called Cobdens, they have one car park on the right but right opposite on the left is a usually empty car park overlooking a mini lake thing, its usudally dead quite there and without the hassle fo the Royal Oak in Betws...

But just an idea I can meet you anywhere around there :0)

On www.weather.co.uk the weather shows improvements towards the middle on next week so hopefully that trend will continue.

Yep was a good drive, thanks Greenbat for the route.

I think (apart from the obvious like colour) there were no Coupes the same yesterday. Greenbats Coupe seems to sit really well for standard suspension and seemed to look noticeable lower than the rest on the road (and didn't look much higher than my lowered Coupe). Could it possible have the ACS kit on it??
