Or http://www.leatherz.com/ do an armrest with a cupholder, colour coded leather to your car I think...

Thanks Top gear, I like the Armrest idea with dual cup holder and it is only 165 dollars, I am going to order one in black leather. :-P

Mark,

I've ordered stuff in the past from them and you'll be really pleased - the fit and finish is perfect.

Check to make sure you can order the one from LeatherZ for a right hand drive car. I'm sure I read somewhere that it's only for left hookers
:-?

Isn't the part symmetrical?

The cup holder part is but the arm rest isn't.

I have purchased/tested 3 different ones, from a £2.99p Total garage job to a $65 import. But, there is never enough room on the driver's side (either as an attachment to the door 'spare bits' container or attached to the door where it meets the window).

I now have 2 holders fitted, but both attached to the passenger door (as above).

You can reach across, with no effort and pluck a can/topped mug/bottle from either with no distraction. However, after drinking, in pitch black night, do not try to replace it as you will fumble around for ages. But 99% of the time it is perfect.

The concept of a central cupholder is interesting and theoretically ideal but do you not knock the mug when changing gear?

I have the two cup holder version that Ben showed. You have to use the rear cup holder whilst driving as your elbow hits the cup in the first holder. But, it's still great for those longer journeys.

I need my coffee fix

Why not just wait until you're at your destination? :-?

I like to be surrounded by all my creature comforts when I am in the car, particularly on long journeys, music, food, A/C, drink etc. Plus I don't like ANY of the crap products that filling stations sell, not even their tea. And if you do buy a cup there it is inevitably boiling hot as they have used powdered milk in the mix so you waste 10 minutes letting it cool down then have to drink it all at once in order to get a move on. If you have a cupholder with lidded mug you can pour it in there and let it cool down on the journey.
I even have a plug in mini kettle for very long journeys :-P , made by Go Travel.

No, I just don't like roughing it.
If I went to Le Mans, most people would probably be camping, I would be in an airconditioned motorhome with sat TV and a beer fridge and a gas barbecue. And a roof viewing area for when I have had too many to wander around the circuit.

I can't be doing with any clutter or rubbish in my car, would rather stop somewhere and get a sandwich and drink!

Why do you say that Neil?

Do you expect us all to be driving flat out all the time?

It amazes me that in one thread you berate drivers for being numpties as they do not drive to suit conditions/motorcyclists but then you are wondering why people drive 'normally' in an MC.

I use my MC all the time, so perhaps I think differently.

Certainly, when I drive up to london etc it would be nice to not have to hold my can of coke in my hand.

You need those hats that hold 2 cans either side and drink through the straw
