Hello every one, just bought a MC at easter, great car in estoril blue from 99 with 93500 miles on the clock. The only thing i dislike are the LING LONG Chinese tyres on the front!Couldnt believe someone put them on.Thinking about Michelins or Pirelli,s.Can any body tell me what the original brand is on the car?Any body recommend something different? Already ordered some EBC redstuff break pads and an Gruppe M induction kit.Cant wait to put it on.Any comments or recomondations welcome. Happy new owner. : :-P

Mine came with the orginal specced Dunlop 808 states which were rubbish.
Buy GSD3 F1s.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for your reply.Been looking around on the forum and found most owners use the GSD3 or the Michelin Pilot sport. I think i will enjoy this site a lot.Hope someone will do a meeting soon.

I use GSD3 and they cost me 211 fully fitted for the back 2 , I guess cheaper on the front , they are good for every day driving and reduce aquaplanning. The pilot sports are much more expensive for little gain.

Welcome. Good collection of cars you have there. I had my E30 M3 for a while whilst owning my MC. Quite a few E30 M3 owners go on to the MC.
Good choice of induction kit. You will enjoy the sound of that.

1. Go for Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 - fantastic tyres at a great price too. BUT you have to put all 4 GSD3s on, as for some reason just 2 ruins the handling and feels very twitchy. Something to do with the compound I believe.
2. MORE IMPORTANTLY - send back your Reds**t pads! I've tried around 7-8 different pad/disc combinations and the EBC (both pads and discs) are the WORST I've ever used. Nothing but problems - pads are seemingly made from baked s**t ands the discs warp in no time too. This seems to be a common experience with both M Coupe and e36 M3 owners.
I think ZZZEMMCO uses Redstuff pads and recommends them, never used them myself but I have used Yellowstuff on other cars which have been great.
Got DS2500s on at the moment which are quite good for fast road driving but not totally convinced about their track performance when pushed harder.

Thanks all for the replies.I went for the Toyo proxes T1R at the end. They bite really well. The redstuff pads grip well but after heavy use the discs starts to warp.Getting new disc.callipers and Ferodo pads now.Should improve the braking a bit.
