MG Northumbrian Classic Car Show at Dilston - Sunday

I know it’s a bit short notice but if any of you NE lads are at a bit of a loose end tomorrow and the weather is half decent, the BMWCC NE section are putting on a stand (around 35 vehicles) at the Car Show at Dilston near Corbridge. I can’t go this year as working away. Last year there was a very varied cross section of cars/car clubs on show and was a good day out. So get yourselves along if you have time.

Alternatively the same BMWCC NE section have their monthly meetings at Lakeside pub south of Gateshead, I’ve arranged to go with David1975 on 1st August, so get yourselves there. I’ve given you a month to organize that slot in your diaries, a good opportunity to have a mini NE MC meet of sorts and put faces to names.

Details on website below.

Hi Mark,

Pity about about the weather and the waterlogged site. Well the BMWNE lads being ever resourceful found a fete in nearby Hexham and got the OK to set up shop there. Total of 25 vehicles gave their own impromptu little car show, a bunch of lads had travelled down from Scotland so they managed to make a day of it for them. Seems some of them even got sunburnt!!

Are you up for 1st August?

Wish I Had of known, the guy directing traffic Just said it was cancelled, I went up to Blanchland Lord Crewe Arms for Lunch and when I got out had 4 guys with classic MG's around my car then spent 30 minutes on the mutual admiration society, which was good. I will try and do the 1st August, but is is Tuesday and I work down south during the week at various hospitals and i will know my whereabout a few days before. weekends are best for mini-meets

Sorry, I now cannot make the 1st August as I'm out of the country with work (first time in 5 years mind - the public sector). Let me know when the next one is.
