So on Saturday I phone to book an oil service and a mechanical check for today and £138.68 is quoted.
I am a new owner (3 months now) and apart from the oil change I wanted to know all was well with my new motor (I just love it, what a car!).
After the service the patronising servicing girl says 'Ok that's £206 then'
err..no it's not.
After refusing to pay this insanely inflated price, a new price of £154 was brought up from seemingly thin air.
again - err..no I'll pay £138 thank you very much
Some keyboard tapping later and another price of £138.06 is produced.
It just seems they lure customers in with one price, carry out the work, then demand more! Crazy
On a positive note - Apart from the cold reception (it was as if I was an inconvenience) they wouldn't even let me talk to the guy who did the service; I only wanted to ask him a couple questions for gods sake! Eventually she did bring the technician to me and in fairness he knew what he was talking about and I was happy my car was taken care of.
