I'm new here at the forums and i just had a quick question about the m coupes (which i desperately want to buy soon), do the sunroofs on the m coupes only tilt or do they actually open fully? I've tried to find pictures on the internet with no luck, if you guys wouldn't mind posting some pictures of your sunroofs opened or what they also look like from the inside that would be great. And also is there a lot of headroom inside, because i've never been inside of one yet, and i am 6 foot 3, just wondering if that will be a problem or not. Any info would be very helpfull, thanks

They tilt only, not sure what exactly what amount but I guess by about an inch.

There are many threads regards headroom, do a search on the forum. The sunroof provides about 2 inches more headroom.

I also believe there is a small tool you can get to remove the sunroof completely for sunny driving days. I personally don't have a sunroof, but i remember Lee on here removing his quite regularly.

the sunroof will only give you about 3cm's
im 6'5" and im fine (just) even with a helmet on track days

ben how do you have your chair positioned ? Is it all the way back on the runners ? what setting do you have the back on is it as far back as it will go or more upright ?

Cheers

i push it forward the as far down as it goes, the back isnt tilted to far back cause i dont like to lean back to much, then right back against the bulkhead, the smaller steering wheel helps, but i didnt have much of an issue in my old car either.

until i get some other seats i might look at trying to lower the seat on the runners, but for some reason i have never had a problem with fitting in a coupe

Agreed with what Ben just said... Fitting a smaller steering wheel has given me a lot more options for where to put my seat as my knee on my clutch leg no longer gets near the wheel :)

I'm 6'3 and i now have my seat a few inches forward of fully back, which gives you more options for how reclinded you like to go

I have my seat fully reclined, but it's also tilted up at the front to give more support (I've done this by raising the front using 3/4" thread couplers).

As a new owner and having heard of the head height issues I would not give it a second thourght. Steve1 must be 6'3" and was not an issue. whilst Iam perhaps just 6'0" it is no problem. neither is the seating position or leg room. the seats even take a good sized 40+year olds rump!! Just drive one and all these issues will pale into in-significance. So now go find one.:driving:
