Brothers Clive and dave have 24 years BMW dealer experience between them, and provide a great honest and reliable service for owners with a BMW 316i upto a V10 M5.They have converted E30,s to 6 cyl engines.

ZMCoupe owners have found somewhere that knows the answers to that Vanos mystery--It aint!!!.and it doesnt cost £££££ to tell you. They have serviced my Z and Alpina B7 Turbo for over 5 years, "If it aint broke--Dont fix it" is clives honest saying.100% Good Guys. 0118 9772236.

There work may be up to scratch but the customer service is appaling. I've enqired twice about work and not bothered taking it any further due to the apparant attitude.

So tell all of us all what the attitude problem is/was? Your request--Their response?

I think it might be down to them being very busy but i've found if you actually get to talk to Clive, he is very helpful. I've had work done there and it is up to scratch, though there are probably cheaper Indys out there..

Just my 2p :)

Jury is out on Munich Motors based on some work done on my car prior to me buying it. I don't really like to mention poor service from a company but two things spring to mind:

The Brakes were replaced by the previous owner 2k miles before I bought the car - Fronts juddered after 3k miles - 1k miles into my ownership. May have been nothing to do with Munich Motors as the discs were EBC's(notoriously shite) however doing some research it would point at the hub surfaces not being totally clean prior to disc mounting. Who knows eh!

They also replaced the aircon condensor for the previous owner as a stone went through it.
Then 3 weeks later the compressor died - just before I bought it. Previous owner funded the compressor replacement however it seems that the method used to replaced the condensor by MM and the release of aircon gas meant that the compressor may have seized - this is what another famous Indpendant stated as the cause. Again, I cannot hand on heart say it was an MM mistake!

It may have all been purely incidental and nothing to do with MM, but you remember these things!

I would still use them in the future because people rave about them and perhaps the above is just unfortunate!

Well I was down there with my car on a sat and was told to phone back in the week as it was clear that the receptionist wanted to go home rather than deal with me.

Also on a later occasion when phoning to enquire about a service the phone manner of the receptionist was appaling.

I would like to use these people as they are about local so would be convienient but they just left me with an impression that they couldnt be bothered with me so I couldn't be bothered with them and would take my business elsewhere.

I agree with MGR about the receptionist not being very receptive and having a poor attitude..

I once brought my car in for some work asked if I could talk to Clive about what needed doing, and the response I was given was 'so you want to tell him how to do his job then?' which I was quite taken aback by..

I don't think I come across as rude or forceful, and I don't normally tolerate this kind of service, but my workplace was very close by and after speaking with Clive, I felt that he knows what he's doing.. and he did a good job.

At the end of the day, I'm happy as long as the work is done properly (and the less interaction with reception the better)..

Thanks for the feedback.Always good to hear the other sides of opinions.Who ever said "YOU only get one chance to make the First impression" was 110% correct-- and that was reception.

I had a metal sounding rattle from underneath, thought it was maybe the New SS exhaust recently fitted by charlie @ Pro-Speed, but no fault could be found.Sitting in reception sometime later--please come and look at this, the LH petrol tank strap had its rubber packing missing but one couldnt see it was a metal to metal sound-new packing cut and fitted and a great quiet drive home.Thats Clive-168 miles round trip Thats ME.
