Get a good deal on a new one or a blinding deal on a secondhand one? How much etc? As per Simon, a name from the past, welcome back.

Welcome back Paul.

So what made you get rid of the CSL so soon?? I'm sure it made a great buy for anyone!

Strange seeing as how im just keeping a watchful eye on the price of CSL's at the moment :D

Only had the coupe 4 days!

Sold the CSL for a new venture, but holding off at the moment, made a profit too in selling it!

CSL is a awesome car, blew me away on track!!! and of course you have the induction noise!!!

Decided I wanted another weekend car and fancied a MC. I think they are a stonking buy 8-12 months old. When they stop production next month I think prices will firm up a little as they become less for sale. The same thing happened with the Z3 MC. Thats not why I bought one though.

The traction light, lights up a lot more on the mc, but I like how you have to really drive the car to get the best out of it and it still is early days.

I'll be looking to change the wheels and at some stage get the CSL noise on the MC as it's addictive!!

The MC was just over £47k new so I saved a packet!!!

Welcome back to the Forum. We met at Z3/Z4 Dunsford meeting (BBQ get together afterwards) last July and I think you had just bought the CSL then or were on the point of buying it.

Well you've chosen the best colour, black of course.

Look forward seeing it maybe at a future meeting.

Glad to see you went for it in the end, the CSL's will make a big difference as does the CDV removal.

Welcome to the club.

clutch delay valve. Does exactly what it's called. I think it's to prevent you dumping the clutch and ripping the floor pan apart! can take some getting used to, so I replaced mine with a blanked version. A vast improvement.

You can get a 8 - 12 month well specced coupe for around 33-35k from the dealers, cheaper in the private adds.

After around 7-8 phone calls at the same dealer I got a good chuck of dosh off mine!

Sounds like you got a good deal too, for the money they're unbeatable. For the CDV have a read here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=956

I think there's a link on there to how to remove the little valve from your own CDV using a drill bit and hammer, but when I was looking it was easier to source one already done from USA. I was really pleased wit the results, cost me about £100 fitted.

Ben - have a look at the link, there's also a 'how to' on there which explains how to replace the valve. The photo's should show you what to look for, I'm not sure if your S54 has one though, I think they were only on later BM's. Worth a look though.

Switching the sport mode on makes the traction control a lot less sensitive, pity about the rather snatchy throttle setting that comes with it.

I don't think I've seen a Carbon Black MC yet, bet it looks lovely.

Just found the guys email for new nav disk:

gilluley@hotmail.com

Drop him an email.

Ben, Look at the links above, even though your motor is from a newer vehicle, the CDV is part of the car not engine or box, hence it probably wasn't swapped over when you put the new lump in. I may be wrong though you'll need to have a look for it.

I can't really see that the CDV is needed to protect the drive line, the E46 M3s have one yet the SMG cars use the same drive train with no problems yet are meant to have a brutal gear change on the faster settings :confused5:

Congratulations Superbow

I got myself a 1 yr old Z4M a couple of weeks back - Carbon Black with Imola interior and a load of toys. Despite thinking I had the hang of the clutch, having driven the car for a few days on the commute to work, I am going to look into getting the CDV done. I have made a fool of myself one too many times.

The CDV mod really makes a difference. They come from the US from David Zechausen (Zeckhausen Racing).

Couldn't agree with Shunt more - it's a must do, even before CSLs

Very nice indeed, I prefer your fronts to CSL fronts they appear to be more dished. How did they compare price wise, aren't they lighter too?

Thanks, they are more expensive than CSL wheels, they are lighter (these are forged) than the standard wheels taken off, and thats with 245/35/19 fronts & 275/30/19. I have fitted them with the new goodyear F1 Asymetric tyres

I will be interested on how they perform around Donington park in October.
