Hi all,
Second post about my potential new Z3M ;)

I can get the RAC to inspect the vehicle on Tuesday. Just called the AA to see if they could do it tomorrow (Saturday), but they don't handle M3 engines.
So, I'm wondering if there might be a specialist that someone could recommend (has experience of) that might even be able to do it tomorrow.
If not, would you recommend using a specialist rather than the RAC in any case?

Thanks

the RAC checks are very very good, and will point out anything that needs doing

Personnally I would pay £100.00ish for your local BMW dealer to carry out their 126 point AUVC (app. used veh. check) as they will know exactly what to look for and will give honest un-bias report. Furthermore they can confirm 1200 mile service and all service history carried out at BMW dealers, but not 'back-street-boys'.
If seller is un-willing to let this be done walk away IMO.
best of luck and hope you get car soon.

Of course, that requires the dealer not being completely bloody useless. Yes, it's you I'm talking about Battersea BMW.

I got my check done at a local specialist. As it's getting a BMW service in June, we'll see what else they come up with (although, that may have occurred in my 4 months of ownership by then of course).

I can concur that the dealer checks are pretty good. Obviously this will vary from one to another. I have used Cooper Tunbridge Wells.

:iagree: As long as you dont get the odd bad mechanic at the dealers they should give you a decent picture about the condition of the car. Sytner Sunningdale are good if thats anywhere near you !
