I am looking to get an outdoor cover for the coupe when i move out of London next month and loose the garage. I have done a bit of searching on the web and through posts on here and it seems the best one out there is the Covercraft Weathershield.

Has anyone had one of these if so what are the reviews like ?

- Does the car need to be dry when you put it on ?
- Is there a hole for the aerial ?

i'm interested as well since I got one when i bought mine last year. It's not the greatest though since it still leaves the car wet / moist after the rain....

James,

Just wondering how you are getting on with your cover.....what are your overall impressions to the level of protection it is offering. I understand that they are not completely waterproof but I assume the car dries quickly beneath it?

My MC lives on the street and I could do with investing in some protection for winter......have been looking at garages but at the going rate 4 mts dry storage is the same cost as a cover.

If it is poss for you to post some pics as well it would be much appreciated.

Hi Matthew,

Cover fits really well as you can see from the pictures. All you need to do when fitting is remove the ariel, comes with a lock as well which fits through eyelets in the cover.

Seems to keep the car dry - although i haven't checked underneath it when its rained heavily.

Cheers

Got to say I looked at these and decided they were a bit too expensive for me at the moment. I just needed something to keep the bird poop off the paint as my parking space is under a tree full of nests - looks like a paintball field most mornings...

In the end I bought the Halfords premium breathable cover (size medium, about £45). Fits very well - just missing the pockets for the mirrors but otherwise very good. I replaced the antenna with a stubby S2000 one so I don't have to remove it/cut a hole to fit the cover...

James,

Thanks for posting the pics, looks like a good fit. I bit the bullet a week or so ago and ordered a covercraft one from the states. They were selling off the old Weathershield fabric in Black at a discount. Same as the new Weathersheild HP with regards to it's protection properties but not as colourfast, so will fade quicker....but will not bother me at all.

Bought the cover, cable lock and storage bag for $281.00 inc shipping.....although I will get clobbered for duty on import......cover itself was $195...so much cheaper than the UK :mad5:

If anyone else is interested go here:

http://www.carcoversplus.com/cover_sale.htm

I ordered over the phone....very straightforward and better to deal with than Covercraft in the UK who offered to send me fabric samples and didn't bother.

Thanks again as your pics re-assure me of money well spent!

Matthew
