Total style over content:
PXed my MC for a Noble - The MC was to be part of their owners private 'collection' of rare sportscars. They promptly sold it a few weeks later.
The Noble, with remaining warranty from them and a 101 point check (yeh right), immediately had problems after 500 miles from the heater exchange. The warranty wouldn't cover it as the problem had been rectified once already before my owership - Dove House claimed they never knew despite previously selling the car. A simple phone call to the warranty company from them would have been useful, prior to my purchase. After on going nonsense from Noble over faulty parts the car cost me £1000 and car off the road for 6 weeks. Dove House wouldn't budge an inch, to give me some sort of financial help. Unbelievable attitude after Id stupidly bought into the whole 'customer loyalty, passion for sports cars patter.' Lesson learnt never buy a car from them and never rely on Noble for spare parts.
Sorry to hear your bad news.
I had a bad experience with a 996 Turbo supplied by Dove house motor cars.

Hmm interesting.
Out of fairness though post a link to this thread for them to explain if they care to.

Lee, can I ask what your experiences with them over the tubby were?
I was seriously looking at an AMV8 at DH, and they certainly have the stock to impress.
I had a similar experience with Hendon Way Motors, who I went to looking for a 996 Turbo, and actually ended up falling out with the chap over his constant rounding up of prices - everything was 'call it £40,000', but the sticker says '£37,999?' 'I know, but call it £40,000' eh???
A quick search on the Porsche owners club and tons of questionably tales from HWM - I wonder if DH are the same?
As for letting DH comment, I know Spellman, and would bet a million pounds he was honestly retelling the tale. Thank god for owner's forums like this!

AMV8...nice!!
Looks like you've been without a nice toy for a while?
Hope all ok with you Rowly and not missing your old MC too much?
You can be assured that she's been very well looked after, drives and looks fantastic and still less than 51k on the clock.
Nice to see you on here again :-)

Hey Chop - glad to hear the car is still going strong. As a seller, you can have a flawless car that's never missed a beat, but still worry the day after you sell it that it'll catch fire and rabies and die, and the new owner will want to kill you.
Glad none of the above has happened, and that you're enjoying the car.
As for the AMV8, I got caught it the classic boy trap of 'for an extra £5K more I could a *insert better sports car name here*' over and over again, then ended up looking as Astons. Now I'm only £5K from Gallardos - and so the process continues...
HWM are well documented on Pistonheads for doing this.
The dove house car needed a lot of work doing to get into warranty which i was assured would be done if needed.
It was VERY hard work to get this done, I had to threaten to send the car back.
I never got the second key that was promised to me many times.
I actually bought from Mark Wolstenholme of Wolstenholme cars but the car was on sale at Dove and he works wiht them and their stock.
Be cautious.
Good luck,
Lee
PS drive the Gallardo and you will never buy the Aston!

Thanks Lee - it just goes to show no matter how much you spend, someone will try and screw you over.
I think the running costs on the Lambo will hold the BACS transfer...
