Servicing - Douglas Park, Glasgow

After checking round, our best option was to have the New Girl looked at by BMW dealer nearest to us. Douglas Park Hillington nr Paisley in Scotland.
Local Independants were slightly cheaper, but not by much and were too busy. DP took her at a day's notice. Good service, nice people, good communication.

Oil change plus filters (including Vanos)
Coolant change
Brake fluid change and pump through.
Closer inspection of Vanos covers, bolts, etc.
Only away a day and full charges only £362.

Only comment was regarding slight "Off - centre" position of steering wheel, which will be corrected by new steering rod ends (mentioned as advisory on last MOT) and tracking adjustment.
Otherwise fully clean bill of health, which makes us VERY happy.

Glad to hear you got some good service from DP.

It must be a first.

Found them to be very unhelpful on numerous occasions. Had an issue when my car was within it's paint warranty (paint bubbling between the handle and the licence plate holder on the rear hatch). Pathetic excuse they used was that the licence plate holder wasn't an OME part, and they would not fix the issue under warranty, oh and it took them 4 weeks to come to this decision. Took the car to Menzies of Stirling where I'd heard good reports of their body shop. Customer service was first class and was very impressed with their professionalism from start to finish.

DP are also not very good at keeping tabs on your car when it's in their possession.
