Just a quick hello there. Its been some time since I posted on here - previously owning a Comos black S50 Mcoupe which i always regreted selling. Been driving an E46 M3 for about 2 years which im now bored of, so took the plunge and pick up my Z4 Mcoupe on friday. Its a lovelly Ruby black with Champagne interior and only 4K on the clock. Will be glad to be back in an Mcoupe - the M3 is a great car but just doesnt look as good.

Broccers, it must be about 3 years since my little outburst on the forum over a chap who really pissed me about selling my old S50 - cant beleive you still remember it. I wonder if the guy ever bought a Z3 mcoupe in the end - didnt seem the sort. Anyway, I promise to be on my best behaviour.

Welcome back, great choice you'll love it. All you need now are some CSL's and a CDV delete, here's mine:

Can confirm I do love it. Suprisingly, it still feels / looks very special even when moving from an E46 M3. Despite all the reveiws on line suggesting the E46 M3 is a better car, I think they must be mad, the Z4 MC is much more fun and sitting nearer the exhausts sounds much much better inside the car. Performance wise, it does feel quicker than the M3, but im sure thats just becuase you are sitting lower down.

Out of interest, I seem to get a bit more noise from the brakes than on the M3, but im guessing thats because the car had been standing for a couple of months. Anyone had the same problem when they first picked theirs up or perhaps thats just normal on these?

Are you getting a grumbly grinding type noise? Mine had that until about 7k miles. All's quietened down now though. I was a bit concerned at first as it sounded louder than I'd have expected.

Whalen gear knob is a good mod too, lowers the height of the stick and the weight makes changes much smoother. A stubby aerial looks much better than that whippy thing they come with. Enjoy it.

My brakes are pretty grumbly when they get some heat in them.
