Does anyone use Mobil 1?

Hi guys and gals,

Just wanted to intorduce myself. Purchased my M Coupe last week and i am absolutely loving it. I have found this forum most helpful and it has answered almost every question of mine. I was hoping to pick your brains on oil choice.

Does anyone here use Mobil 1 on their Coupes? The reason being is that i work for Honda, and hence have free access to it and was considering doing an oil change. What are your experiences with the oil?

The car was last serviced in July 2008 by Munich Legends, and since, has only covered 3000 miles (inspection 2 was done). There are three green service lights still on, so im assuming i can just carry out an oil and filter change myself, which will see me through to when i have to take the car in for an "official" oil change service.

Depends which grade, I've used Mobil 1 0/40 over winter months over the thicker Castrol 10/60 which I used to put in for summer months, but past couple of years have just used Castrol 10/60.

You can get a 10/50 Motorsport Mobil oil which might be better suited but at the sametime a lot of places recommend 5/40 for the S50 anyway which isn't miles off 0/40.

decided against mobil 1 and went for Castrol 10w 40. all is fine. thanks for your help.
