  • Manky ole silencers - how shall I tart em up

    As you can see from the pic they are looking pretty tired at the mo and don't do anything for the rear view of the car.

    It looks like they were black at some point, but not sure I want to do that way again.

    All suggestions greatly received.

    And without wanting to sound like somebody's dad, it's easier to do it on a routine basis than it is when they're filthy!!

      take em off,use a diluted 50/50 tfr mix,give em a bath with a stiff non wire brush then with some sol-autosol polish...should come up new!!!

        Cheers for the pointers.

        Yes well aware they've been neglected - but the paintswork's in good shape at least.

        Will give one of those a whizz this weekend if it ever stops raining.
