Silly question:

Each headlight cluster on the Z4M appears to contain two projectors. The outer projector is for the main beam (normal and brights), and the inner projector appears to do nothing other than act as a holder for the angel eyes.

Is this correct or am I missing a trick? I really thought bi-zenon meant that both bulbs would function like on all other BMWs. :confused5:

Seriously? 42 view and not a single response?

I think its just a holder for the angel eye not a lamp in itself

You could have just bumped the thread rather than sounding like you've been ignored! Many of the views will have been by Z3 owners hoping to learn/read something interesting, or by people who were not sure enough to give an informative answer.

My brother has a 130, same light design. The inner most ring has no lamp inside - it is just an angel eye. BMW must do this to keep the double headlight theme constant and in keeping with their trademark front-end look.

Hope that helps.

Good point. Forgot most would be Z3 readers. My post did come across as rather whiney :iagree:

Thanks for the feedback!
