The Italian replicas are not rare at all and are easily purchased direct or through group buys that happen once in a while.

The rare as hens teeth indoor car cover is the OEM BMW one which comes in its own duffle bag and has a matching steering wheel cover as well. They trade for 1000 quid to 1500 or more or more when they do pop up.

What the silver ones in the silver bag with Z3 on the bonnet? I've got one of those.

See below. The replicas are nice bits but not the same as the one that was made by a German company by the name of Berelsman (sp?). Easiest way to spot the genuine piece is by the 'bmw m' text on the back end of the cover. Like I said, they are extremely difficult to find and are very pricey when they do show up.

Oh right, mine defo isn't that, it's silver with Z3 on the bonnet.
Great quality though, with a big zip bag.

I think this is BMW's waterproof cover?

Looking for a good quality indoor car cover, breathable.
I will try and get hold of this Italian company tomorrow and see what they offer.

Otherwise does anyone have any recommendations?

                            Thanks in advance.

Well I took the plunge and ordered a few of these in grey and in various sizes. They arrived today and I'm really rather impressed, especially as they cost 62€ each (£45 approx.) I saw them in use on a friends collection in Germany, he's also very happy with them.

                              http://www.car-e-cover.de/car-cover-...-fit/index.htm

I went for the "Perfect Stretch" cover for use indoors. The covers are extremely soft and appear to work well, based on carrying out a basic test using a kettle, hygrometer and then noting the weight gain in the fabric - similar to a test done by Autocar.

I can thoroughly recommend these for anyone who is looking for a soft, anti scratch, stretchable cover for use in dry indoor environments. With good protection against dust etc. They're available in black, red and silver grey.

I suppose the best evidence will be in the long term test.
                              I'll keep you posted.
