I wonder how they've got it to 3.5 as the engine is already close bore to bore and long stroke.

Should have done an 3.8 M5 conversion; 340bhp and 300lb/ft, a useful increase and an original BMW engine.

I am not yet a Z3M owner yet... but plan to purchase one soon.
I was especially looking for a coupe S54 but saw this add oat target carts in Eindhoven.
I live in France but do not mind travelling to NL to get my future Z3!
From the date of this post I can see that this car has been for sale for some time now (10 months at least!) and wonder why it has not been sold yet.
Isn't the 3.5 hartge a nice version of the Z3M? Or is the price too high for not being sold yet?
I hope I can get some views on this car as I was not even aware that the 98 version 3.5 hartge existed.
                  Thanks and nice day all!

While browsing the web, I see that a hartge 3.5 z3m was also commented some years ago.
The color and model matching should not be common so I guess that it has a change to be the same car.
The thing is that the car has then not been used commonly for years as already in 2013 is was 45.000km and now 46.000.
They have the car for sale at target for 1 years at least as per their video date on youtube.

I would expect that engine to have a useful boost of torque so if the rest of the car is good that is a nice setup.

I really like the look of this coupe especially the exhaust, appears Target are happy to sit on their car stocks rather than sell quickly so cars tend to be there for a very long time (M Coupes at least)

You are just referring to the exhaust as main point of interest? I thought that the interest of that car would rather be a genuine 3.5 hartge model.
It sounds right that Target are not in a hurry to get their cars sold.
I just wonder about the reason... is it about their reputation on the market? Or rather due to their prices?

I am travelling in Asia until mid december but will definitely pay a visit to target around 20th Dec to see their S54 (they have 2-3 in stock) and also this hartge model.

If anyone think to sell a left hand drive S54 coupe black/grey, just think about me :).

Confirmed by Target today, they answered my email.
The car is from germany and has only run from 98 to 2000 when it then have been stored by a car collector. The car comes with paper S50 that have been upgraded to fit the Hartge 3.5 (paper in line with Hartge engine power) done when the car was brand new. Car registred 2nd Feb 99 and upgraded with hartge motor on papers on 17th feb 99.

Since 30.000km and year 2000, the car seems not to have had maintenance declared in the maintenance book. It ran 16.000km meanwhile on occasionally drive with service "in these years" without obvious details.

Is there any way I can ensure if this car will sustainably work?
I would not consider investing >40K€ in a car that will break some time after.

I asked if the car is accident free and the answer is "We cannot guarantee it is accident free as we have noticed that some parts are repainted we dont know if this was due to a previous accident or just optical issues".

                            I am a bit sceptical.

Hope some of you can share their view on this.

I think Dave is just being sarcastic as all M Coupe should have 4 big pipes at the back But it is something that can easily be fixed

In all seriousness, the car does look nice and the conversion by an "official" tuner should mean it's worth a small premium. Target seem to have a mixed rep though, but few people have bought from them I think because they are unwilling to negotiate much perhaps?
