    S50 part number is

    13637840383

Part number 8 on RealOEM here

    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...79&hg=13&fg=15

S54 part number is the same

    13637840383

Part number 2 on RealOEM here

    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...11&hg=13&fg=15

If you search on the part number it fits loads of ///M cars from e36/e46/CSL/Z3m's S50 & S54 and even the Z8 so it must be an upgraded part.

Assuming it's the same between models, really simple straight swap

Yes, just swaps over, two little screws hold it on. There was a superceeded part number but both should work fine.

Swapped it over at the weekend, I think there is just one part number as the original is no longer listed
