      Just an idea.....
Was that an eletrical pressure gauge? did it come with the sender/tpiece and does it match the other gauges?

          1. Buy VDO Vision oil pressure gauge (electrical sender)
          2. Have a VDO agent/gauge specialist swap the chrome bezel over from a spare OEM gauge on to the VDO one.
          3. Fit amber coloured bulb cover to gauge to match lighting (DIY or LeatherZ.com has them).
          4. Fit sender to factory oil pressure switch - I used the LeatherZ oil distribution block with sender. The OEM oil pressure warning light is still functional and the sender doesn't interfere with it.
          5. Wire gauge in.

Did this on the M console in my Z3 - and have all the parts ready to do same on my MC when I can find time.

            Good 'how to' Kiwi

Wav and CW: Kiwi covered it all pretty thoroughly. All I can add is that the CA supplied gear does not use what I beleive is called a 'sandwich' block but some casting that is specifically done to run the cooler, and that the font on the gauges is slightly different to the original (marginally more bold) but you'd have to be an anorak to notice. Kiwi is correct to note the bezel on the new one is not exactly the same as in the coupe - not quite as rounded in profile - but for me it doesn't make any visual difference. I am very happy with the vision series straight out of the box, and don't miss the clock at all!
            Cheers

              a bit more

sorry CW - read your post again: no, the gauge did not come with the sender - had to be ordered as a seperate piece and it has to be a VDO specific unit - I had an autometer gauge not in the console before this fix and the sender for that was incompatible.
