  • New z3m owner from Melbourne

    Hi everyone,
I am very pleased to announce the new arrival to the family. I have just closed the deal on a beautiful titanium silver over black/red 1999 s50 z3m coupe with 108xxx kms on the clock and a freshly rebuilt engine done by a professional specialist.
I am the third owner with the last owner having it for 7-8 years putting a sparing 40,000kms on it. The ptevious owner is a true petrol head having owned a slew of diverse cars aswell as being experienced in hillclimb and road rally events among others.

The car itself is in excellent condition with a spotless interior, mechanically faultless and fresh. While the body is straight, no dings only a couple of very minor stone chips. Overall it presents very well and drives even better.

It is a stock example apart from a set of aftermarket koni shocks. I plan to keep it that way apart from some light engine mods that will be able to ne converted back when selling again.
The mods to the engine will be a mac motoren (if price is right)😉carbon csl style airbox with a mafless alph n chip. I think the sound it produces just trsnsforms the car not to mention the extra bit of poke.

So thats it from me, happy to be part of it all and looking forward to learning as much as i can about these great machines!!!

Welcome to the forum, Karbonius I think are probably the best bang for your AUD buck in the airbox department. Based in Spain, google is your friend here.

And then there is Guido Bonanni, one of Facebooks most prolific posters there in Melbourne too, he is a mine of information. I'm sure you have seen his black coupe zooming around, if not on the road then in the various motoring magazines

      Congrats on the purchase.

Cheers guy. Thanks for the info btz461 I will definitely follow that up! I think I know the guy your talking about, I saw his car featured in an article somewhere.

Just a random fact. The car was up online for 1 day until being purchased by me. (I had to jump on it as there are so few coming up for sale) & there was strong interest in the car only after 1 day. Right place, Right time I guess..

        And some pics :-

About the karbonius carbon csl airbox, do they make one that is s50 compatible??
