Nope, i didnt think there was any clutches in the Vanos,i will get the exhaust cam checked along with the wiring,as i cannot make it do the wobbly thing,i think its pointing at the Solenoids, Thanks All.

it really makes the car shake and rattle ? does it do it when idling or only when driving ? A clutch release bearing failure can cause terrible vibration when slipping the clutch. If it is shaking and rattling on idle then my inkling would be a major vacuum leak rather than a vanos fault.

Nope not sorted yet,it is not a clutch issue,but will get sorted when back after having new wings fited will let you know whats found.

Well chap's
My car is running like a dream,both sets of Solinoid's have been renewed as my old ones had failed (not just the wiring) all Valve clearances have been checked and adjusted with cylinder 5 exhaust beeing tight..so happy days,while over at the Garage i noticed two other Racing coupe's one Black the other a rather nice lime green !!! with rather large wings on their back's..

Glad to hear you've got it sorted.

Out of interest do you know if the Vanos system logged any faults?

I am not sure as they just said all faults cleared.
