  • Cleaning washer bottle

What's the best product to use to get the washer bottle really clean inside and out?

I have just read in Keith's journal how he used APC and then jet washed so will give that a try.

I dunno if its the best way but I filled my bottle with washing detergent and let it sit for a day and before I emptied it, I put in some sand and shake the bottle for a few minutes and then let it wait a few more hours. The results were massive.

Gave the washer bottle a good clean with Meguiars APC and a long handled brush,

          Worked a treat,

            Washer bottle shape

Hi Dave, I took my washer tank off at the weekend, as it is in the same state as yours (was) I noticed from your photos that the motor on mine is in a completely different location, on the inside toward the rocker cover. Only 2 months between our cars, all very odd.

There are two on mine but I think that's because it has headlight cleaners?.

                Aaaah!

That would explain it! I do not have headlight washers, just headlights...

Sorry to re-open an old thread, but has anyone got any clever methods to get rid of the sediment from the washer bottle WITHOUT going to the trouble of removing it.

It doesn't need to be pristine, just want to get rid of enough sediment so as not to affect the washer jets.

I'm thinking some combination of additive, long brush and hosing it to overflow the sediment out the top?

                        Thx.

How do you actually remove the motor(s) from the washer bottle? Do you just pull?

                              Thanks
