My info may be wrong, but it's just what I've seen so far.

I'm not sure what this guy is doing, but if he is hiding the source I think he must be onto something

Maybe I'll test him with my E36

As I know more about that particular car!

Here is the BMW option code list for download from my dropbox account:

                https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6666038/Z3/...on%20Codes.pdf

Option 877 has two possible meanings:

                "without functioning upper cross bar"

                or

                "without cross over control"

Not sure I'm any the wiser though

Well, I'm the guy who posts those stats on Reddit.com. I though it was weird that there were so many RHD M Coupe/Roadster requests so I decided to investigate and found this thread.

I see a lot of you got questions on how and where I get my data so I decided to register and answer them.

It is true and that is not how I get to the order number. To get to the order number I first sort the cars by the production date. Then when there are multiple cars produced on the same day I sort those results by VIN number. I admit it is possible that a car with a higher VIN number left the factory some hours earlier than a car with a lower number, but it is the closest method I can think of.

I'm not exactly hiding the source, the source is me. I've been grabbing build sheets for the last 5 month similarly to what www.bmwmdata.com has done. At first I was getting M cars only and was helping bmwmregistry with some of the data I gathered. The website where you can grab data yourself is in the works. It is not ready for the public yet since it's not user friendly for now and not very secure.

Welcome to the forum. Thats a great job you are doing for the BMW community and for us on the Z3 & Z4 MC Forum in particular.

When I recently bought my latest Z3 MC I wanted one a near as possible to my old vehicle. How close could I get?? The specs are identical!!!
