Happy new year to the forum members.

Just thought I'd start a thread to see how much we spent in 2017 on maintaining our coupes.

Owing to the overhaul I did back at the start of the year, the coupe cost me £2,494.52 (excludes insurance, fuel, MOT)

    How did you get on?

    Hi Martin,

Excluding fuel, MOT, insurance, car tax, just £15.13 this year for an air filter frame. Only did 2500 MC miles in 2017, which is disgraceful for me!

    Happy New Year,

    Ian

Happy New year Martin, covered around 400 miles and had major service so overall costs around £1000 which includes a few new parts yet to be fitted.

        Happy New year to all.

As I've purchased my MC this year, there is always a setup cost. To date this year, I've spent £2400. However that does include suspension refresh, rear top mounts, accel cable, set of handbrake cables, clutch pipe, rear discs/pads, ARB's and full service including valve adjustment and gearbox/diff oil change.

Sills, wing mirrors, boot and bumper re-spray £600
          Accelerator cable £55
          BMW badges £45
M badge kit from Aceman £11
Seat bushes from Aceman £11 (cant remember exactly!)
          Stormwerks gear knob £91
Engine covers exchange from Aceman £135
          Gasket seals kit £77
          Two front tyres £170
          Rear brake hoses £55
          Engine clean £30
          ARB bushes £36
          Power steering pipe £62
          Bonnet clips £40
          Synchromax oil x2 £45
          Wheel centres £44
          Track rod ends £32

About £600 on labour for fitting parts and sorting MOT and fuel gauge issues ( it's still not accurate so probably need a new fuel sender)Money well spent though as the car looks very tidy now and my agreed value insurance from Hegarty has gone up £5500 in 6 months since I bought it.

Next jobs are alloy refurb, brake caliper refurb and getting the leather sorted. First six months have been a pleasure and the car has run brilliantly. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to my various questions, including the occasional daft one!

Same here for a few years running Martin. I need to get some love back so it's getting a major rebuild.

With paint, the new engine & box, plus loads of new tuning parts I reckon I'll have done about £8K factoring in the sale of my old LS1, so I'd better bloody love it again!

Well you'd best sort it out before SS Classic!
