ebay auction black S50 in need of boot floor/diff work

    starting bid £5k

    quote,

Welcome to my auction for my BMW Z3M Coupe. Before I waste anyone's time, this car requires attention to the boot floor/differential mount. This is a very common problem with these cars. The reason for sale is, due to the fact I work abroad all year, I am never home therefore I simply don't have the time to get the car repaired. I would rather sell the car in its present state and put the money in the bank rather than have the car sat on my in-laws' driveway. I have owned the car for 3 years and for those 3 years it has been a complete joy to own. Most of the miles I've added to the car have been motorway miles throughout Europe for my job. During the last year, I've barely used the car so it's currently insured on a limited mileage future classic policy at £220 a year. The spec of the car is as follows:-

    • 1999 S50 BMW Z3M Coupe
    • 96500 miles approx.
    • MOT was carried out in May.
    • Taxed until November 2012
    • All servicing carried out by BMW or Independent Specialist
    • Heated black leather seats
    • PF discs and pads (very little use due to me being away from home)
    • New front drop links
    • 4 Hankook RS2 tyres with plenty of tread left on them
    • BMW Business CD + Changer
    • iPod dock (never used by me so I've tucked it up behind the dash)
    • Bluetooth handsfree kit
    • Vanos has been replaced approx 25k ago and my Independent Specialist gave it the thumbs up last service
    • Common airbag light problem fixed
    • Air Con in full working order
    • Sunroof delete

You guys aren't slow! Haha. I'm surprised how much interest this has had. I don't want a lot of money for the car as I'm trying to be realistic. I've got 4 people asking for a buy it now price. I wish I could keep the car and more importantly use it but I've only been home for a few weekends this year and I've got wind I could be away for quite a few years. Hopefully I'll be back with a Z4M coupe in a few years.

Hi James, do you have any pictures or a detailed description of how bad the floor has got?

        Thanks, Ollie

I'll have to get some interior photos in the next day from the in-laws. With regards to the boot floor. The subframe has cracked so it's not a case of just welding up the boot floor. I don't have photos of the underside sorry.

          Cheers
          James

Car sold easy. I was really shocked with the interest. It was getting stressful trying to juggle all the interest. I believe I sold it for a fair price but I also think it could have sold for more. I ended up selling it to the first person who had cash. I'll miss the car. It's been magic on a few occasions. I bought it to replace my Evo. It wasn't as fast as the Evo but it was far more fun and far more suited to the long drives I was having to do.
