  • Glass scratch removal

Anyone tried removing light scratches from glass as I have managed to get a nice 3" scratch on my rear screen. I have bought a kit off ebay but not tried it yet (contains drill attachment and polishing pad with paste).

Can the guys who fill chips not use the same technique to fill a scratch?

I have used jewellers rouge on the windscreen to remove scratches, it worked pretty well as I remember.

Dave, how about something like this; they have kits for varying sizes/depths of scratch:

Tried the kit and it did remove about 25% of the scratch but left the deeper sections which are deep enough for your fingernail to dig into
