  • Front screen wash wipe

Well the front seems to have stopped working - I thought the bottle was dry when it went in to BMW a few weeks ago so before a recent longer journey went to fill it up to see Sytner had done this for me FOC....... except the liquid dribbles out of the nozzles and is useless.

    Advice please on a fix.

Might be similar to what happened to me once and I sourced it to being a funny looking plastic valve filter thingy that runs inline with the tube that leads to the jet. Or maybe the electric pump at the bottom of the bottle has gone or its wiring has come loose.

      Broccers,

Could it be that your screen wash has crystalised out of solution and is jamming the mechanism in the jets? I had this problem with a previous BMW.

(This will make Steve1 roll on the floor howling with laughter ) The washer jets on BMWs are quite a feat of engineering and there is a small ball bearing and spring inside them which can "fur up". Since you've got EW then get yours replaced FOC

A good tip from Zedvan is to always use distilled water to top up your screenwash.

I have the new EW now Exdos so £ 250 to visit the dealer for this fixing - I'll go have a closer look at lunch as it appears to have stoped raining. 8)

Removal of the bonnet noise deadening revealed the pipe had 'come off'. All sorted.
