Anyone got any experience of these?

I may get one soon as a replacement to my trusty Scooby :)

I've been out round the 'ring in one as a passenger. Seems very very good for the size of the car. Similar pace to the Z3M in a straight line. Quite a lot of torque, brakes were ok but a little weak on the track. General impression was that it was a fantastic car.

Watch out for the vanos as this can cost £7k to replace if its gone badly wrong.

This beauty has done a 170k on its original vanos. Scroll right down the page because as usual Neil Mukerji provides a great read.

E39 M5 offers excellent value but unless you have a reasonably experienced cheap mechanic or you are good with the spanners, even the best example will cause you to hemorrhage money.
