Just to add to the confusion, I've just had the Vanos replaced on my E36. Oddly the step between 'stages' was more obvious when it was not working properly, its now a lot smoother and making ~25 bhp...

Theres probably nothing wrong. if you dyno it and it is off usual culprit is a stretched throttle cable in s50.

I've got an e36 m3 thats running properly and its a long way off the S54 engined...

This had also passed me by. Cosmetic additions from ACS have never been to my taste. The engine pieces look cool but the bodywork I don't really like especially the rear bumper on the estoril one.

Would love to. If this had come up a few months ago it would have been snapped up in a second. I've just spent a small fortune getting an e36 m3 up to scratch and that would have to go to make space...

I did exactly the same thing with a 3dr sierra cosworth about 4 years ago. Just couldn't deal with that level of performance.

We have a clio sport at the moment also ! Its a late 172 in black. I don't really get on with the driving position. Its a great car, the engine is fantastic....
