I managed to get rid of the DSC light remaining...
I managed to get rid of the DSC light remaining on just by using INPA and connecting it to the appropriate ECU. I have no idea what has changed by doing this but it has worked and the DSC switch now...

I tend to use a smear of silicone sealant...
I tend to use a smear of silicone sealant (bathroom or frame) on the thread of the drain plug. Silicone will fill all the thread spaces, will set and is stable at temperatures up to 300degs or more....
