Dave, did you use BMW special tool 26 1 040 to untighten the clamp-ring on the drive shaft? Wondering if one can use crow foot wrench instead, and if yes - what size.

You would need 2 of each:
LEMFÖRDER 10533 01
LEMFÖRDER 10519 03

You would need a press or a heavy duty clamping tool to get those replaced. Did it myself on e36 M3 coupe. Plan to do the same...

What mounting brackets did you go with (presume these are 996 calipers), and was there any specific reason you have chosen 4-pot over 6-pot 135i caliper for the front?

@Dave, both epytec.de and burkhart-engineering.com supply caliper brackets for this set-up from what I recall.
