My high level rear brake light isn't working, I've tried the fuses in the engine bay and there doesn't appear to be one specifically for the high level light. Could it be the bulb? If so how do you access it?

I believe it prises out from the left hand side, pull it out and disconnect the harness. The bulbs are individually soldered onto the PCB2002 '52 S54 - Titanium Silver with 18" BBS LMs, AP Racing BBK, KW V3, H&R anti roll bars & ACS flippers (previously 2000 'X' S50 - Arctic Silver)

The safest way to get at the brake light is to remove the rear spoiler but I think it was designed to come out without having to do this,
there are lots of individual bulbs so chances are you have a wiring issue rather than all the bulbs being blown. Worth checking the hatch
wiring which is a known problem on these cars

Turns out the wire that powered the rear light was broken as it passed from the tailgate to the body of the car. I will crimp on new connectors and re-wrap the cables using wiring harness tape.
