  • Finally got one.

    Hi all.
Well today was the day my coupe got delivered.
5 years ago I was torn between an m coupe and a clio v6.
I ended up buying a clio v6. I've owned the clio 5 years and decided it was time to move on so in December I started looking at m coupes, I've been and looked at most that are for sale and finally decided on a silver s50. It was owned by a member on here previously and is in very good clean condition.
Should look good parked up next to my m2.
Hope to see some of you at a few meets.
    Thanks
    Ollie

Welcome to the Forum its a great place for information on these cars as I'm sure you'll find out.
There a few shows that various members will be attending this year, Cumberland, Newby Hall, Gaydon, Silverstone etc take your pick. Maybe depends on where you are based.

                  Cheers everyone!
Yes I was surprised how small it looked next to the m2.
I'm based in birmingham so will probably do gaydon and Silverstone.
I will check through events and get myself signed up to a few.

Congrats on the new toy Ollie

It's so easy to forget how small these things are.
Not actually in the least bit fat

How is it comparing to the Clio V6?

                            Thanks guys.
It's hard to compare anything to the Clio really as it's such a mad car, driving wise the m coupe is a much nicer place to sit and you can tell it's a better built car. It will only be a summer car like the v6 but once I get some proper driving time I will do a more in depth comparison.
I will definitely miss the Clio but it was time to move on and I think the m coupe is a good replacement.
Much like the m coupe, v6 prices shot up and I would definitely put them both in the same category of weird and wonderful cars.
I will miss the noise of the Clio as having a 3ltr v6 just behind your head definitely heightens your senses. The straight 6 does sound good but not as dramatic (think I definitely need an exhaust)
I've owned a lot of cars over the past few years, nothing compared to the Clio but hopefully the coupe will. My first impressions of the coupe are very good.
                            Roll on summer!

                              Welcome

I've owned mine for 5 years & 40k miles. It was either this or a ClioV6. Choose the Z3 as it's more practical (bike racks etc) but still mad . I went from a clio Trophy to the Z3.

It kinda grows on one, my wife was tolerant and now won't let me sell it.
